And we are off….

Tricia English’s Global Education Guide

July 12, 2026

✈️🇺🇸🇵🇭 It’s officially travel day!

The next 24+ hours are going to be a whirlwind! Today I head to San Francisco to meet up with my amazing fellow Fulbright Teachers for Global Classrooms participants before we continue our journey to the Philippines.

The lessons are ready. The presentations are finished. The suitcases have been packed, unpacked, weighed, repacked, and checked more times than I can count. 😅 Now it’s finally time to go!

Over the next 17 days, I’ll be visiting Manila, Batangas, and Iloilo City, where I’ll have the incredible opportunity to:
📚 Teach a 7th-grade English Language Arts lesson on poetry and prose.
🌎 Represent our state and school
🤝 Visit the U.S. Embassy.
👩‍🏫 Present professional development for educators.
🏫 Learn alongside Filipino teachers and students while building lasting global connections.

I’ll also have the chance to experience the beauty and culture of the Philippines, including visiting the incredible Guimaras Island.

I feel incredibly blessed to have been selected as a Fulbright Teachers for Global Classrooms Fellow, a program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State. It’s an honor to represent my school and share ideas while learning from educators and students across the world.

What a year this has been. A new career, new opportunities, and now an adventure halfway around the world. I know this experience is going to challenge me, inspire me, and make me a better educator and leader.

Thank you to everyone who has encouraged and supported me along the way. ❤️ I can’t wait to share this journey with all of you!
