Empowering students to lead starts with understanding where they are. In my classroom, we challenge ourselves. We begin by exploring our local community and then connect those experiences to a broader global context. Through collaboration within our own school, business partners, and partner schools, we exchange perspectives and learn how communities around the world approach similar challenges.
The goal is to help students in rural settings recognize that their ideas matter beyond their town and that they can think, communicate, and act as members of a connected world.
